Power cost simulator
Estimates the monthly TNB bill for the household plus the owned GPU nodes. The bill formula is the RP4 domestic tariff, checked against our itemised August 2026 bill to the sen. The node power figures are estimates until the nodes are metered.
Bill against fleet GPU-hours
August 2026 bill → projected
Left: our itemised August bill (816 kWh, before the nodes), line by line as TNB printed it. Right: the household at the slider setting plus the nodes at the current settings. Each figure shows its working.
Where the kWh come from
By fleet size (same settings)
Tariff (TNB RP4, domestic general): energy is 27.03 sen/kWh, or 37.03 sen on every kWh once the month exceeds 1,500 kWh (a cliff). Capacity (4.55 sen) and network (12.85 sen) apply to all kWh.
Charges above 600 kWh: the RM10 retail charge and the AFA (on all kWh). Sales tax is 8% on the kWh above 600, pro-rata, plus the whole retail charge. The 1.6% KWTBB levy applies above 300 kWh, on energy, capacity and network, net of the rebate.
Energy Efficiency Incentive: up to 1,000 kWh only. The month's band rate is applied to every kWh.
Node energy: (GPU-hours × busy draw + remaining node-hours × idle draw) × (1 + cooling), over a 730-hour month.
Supply: single-phase is about 12 kVA per our docs, shared with the household. Confirm the breaker rating before adding nodes.
Canonical model: site-power doc, electricity section.
